...a moment with our Father

God invites us into His presence daily. Every moment. Every second. Every day. He is welcoming us to come along side Him and find the beauty. Find the clarity in His word.
God wants to speak to us. He wants to embrace our hearts. But in order to hear Him and feel His warmth, we have to be willing to listen. We have to be willing to set aside those precious moments to be with Him.
A moment with our Father. A time of renewal through His presence. Through His words. A sort of divine reading. Lectio divina.
We live in such a loud world. The hustle and bustle of every day life that consumes our minds.
And God doesn’t always scream at us. His love is spoken through quiet whispers.

“The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.”
-1 Kings 19:11-12

We have to be willing to open our hearts and listen. We have to be willing to find that quiet space and time to spend with God.

Just listen.
