...a willingness to live

faith takes willingness.

we must be undoubtedly willing to leave ourselves, and all we know, behind. toss everything we know into the abyss of wolrdly desires. to cut the reigns of human nature and live completely, and totally unhindered. we must be willing to shut off every light that surrounds our being, extinguish sights existence, and walk bravely through the darkness. into the deepest deep and the blackest black without a moments hesitation. we must be willing to give ourselves over. to walk through the stinging pains of tests and trials and remain diligently seeking the way home. we must be willing and yearning for a consuming fire. a blaze that will guide our every step. a hot, scalding flame that will light our inmost passions. we must be willing to burn. burn with an everlasting joy found only in that flame. to allow ourselves to be filled overflowing with an inner radiance so bright that it cannot be hidden.

we must bind ourselves to the alter and leave all our worries in the dust.

"we live by faith, not by sight" -2 Corinthians 5:7
