wooden pieces left dissembled among the endless brush. a disarray of splinters, nails, and half lived memories. plant life sprouting up on every side, a beautiful encasement for a long loved, long forgotten escape. paddles hidden by the soaking dirt. seats removed, tossed aside, never to be found. a forgotten sail. a lost ship.
stumbled across by a wandering stranger. a dreamer whose memory has long since faded. a sailor who no longer can find his way home.
touching, feeling, sensing.
whithered hands brush the dust from the broken boards and rusty nails.
frail arms pick up the pieces, bit by bit.
gathered together in a bundle of forgotten dreams.
revived once again to an old mans heart.
the memories rush, they pour in.
cascading off the sides, filling up the hole of a broken heart.
a glimpse of what was, of what could be.
a rotting sailboat to give life to a dieing man.
