while this verse may be quite frightening for some, think of it as such a mighty glory over us. God is so strong and jealous for our love that He will do everything in His power to get our attention. He has raging anger. a consuming fire. a jealous heart. He wants all of us. not just our sorrows and our struggles, but our joys and and our laughter. He wants it all. He will cause us to hear his majestic voice. just open your heart, your ears, your eyes. be willing to seek after such a simple yet raging whisper.
Lord, my God, my father, my love, consume me with such a passion for you that I know longer let the ways of my human nature deafen me from your voice.
